Homeschool Evaluations

In the state of CO, for homeschooling families, they require testing or an evaluation for homeschooled students in grades 3, 5, 7 etc. If you are enrolled in an umbrella school they may already have assistance for you. If you would prefer a non-intrusive but honest evaluation I am more than happy to help!

Credentials

Certified CO teacher that holds a professional teaching license.

BA in Education and a Master's in Leadership in Education.

I have been teaching to the homeschool community for 12 years.

I am trained in lower elementary (1-3 grades) Montessori through NAMC.

I am currently homeschooling my son and support the homeschooling community choices.

Fees and Payments

I charge $80 for the entire evaluaiton. I find that the process usually take 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

I take cash, check, or venmo.

Rescheduling- I am happy to reschedule with 24 hours notice.

Unfortunately I need to charge for 30 minutes of my time if there is a no show.

Evaluation Process

We can meet in person or on zoom.

I send an intake google form (for my records only) to get an idea of what's needed and the homeschool environment.

During a scheduled time, I will first chat with the student(s)/parent(s) about the philosophy, curriculum ( if you use any), challenges and how the homeschool year has gone and about what worked well, what didn't work well, and what they are challenged by

I go over the state standards for that age range to identify what is needed or when it may be covered and I offer support and advice if wanted/needed.

Afterwards I provide a brief letter, directly to the parents to use as they need, complete with my teacher license number.
